A trip to North Carolina took me to Fayetteville, home of Ft Bragg
and the Cape Fear Crocs. The Southern League stadium was small with
only metal bleachers, but the fans and the mascot made the
evening fun. |

The Harrisburg stadium in on an island in the middle of the
Susquehanna River, a few miles from famous Three Mile Island. His
figure was memorable, and no doubt a little poke of political fun in
the Pennsylvania's capital city. |

When a new mall opened near our house, they celebrated with a concert
by KC and the Sunshine band and a whole flock of company logo
characters. Among our favorites was the Chick-Fil-A chicken. |
|
It was hard to pick between Bugs & Daffy (Warner Bros store), the
Berenstain Bears, Scooby-Doo and this Penguin. At eleven years old,
Jesse was ready to go best two out of three knockdowns with the
little bird. |
