With Dave on disability since January and Jesse getting ready for
college finals again, we took Easter pretty easy. At fifteen, Jesse
didn't get any chocolate or jelly treats, but we still had some
family fun.
Lyn purchased some pre-boiled pre-dyed eggs in dozen count containers
for us, and we had been eating them in the evening while watching TV
for over a week. On Easter morning, the Easter Bunny had the decency
to hide them all a dozen at a time so breakfast proceeded right away.
Of course, Lyn made us kielbsa (served cold) and other breakfast
treats. We bashed our eggs, but couldn't figure out which color,
shape or size predicted a winner. Next year we'll bet on them.
With physical therapy visits for both Lyn (shoulder pain) and Dave
(Back and Leg), we had skipped spring training baseball and mostly
stayed home in the evenings watching TV coverage of the war in Iraq.
After bashing our eggs (Jesse was the hands-down winner) and eating
our Kielbasa, we spent the afternoon taking a nap and talking about
selling the house. |
