Dave had always enjoyed the handling and reliability of driving a Taurus when he rented from Hertz. Instead of looking in the paper, and going to local used car lots, we used CarMax with internet searches and no-haggle pricing. CJ Rowland didn't sell us a Taurus, he simply helped us find it. And we have been very satisfied since then. If you meet CJ, ask him about his two pet snakes Feb 2005 Jesse: San Antonio / Ethics Bowl Jesse Jesse participated in the collegiate Ethics bowl in San Antonio representing St Petersburg College While in San Antonio, they visited the Alamo, and he had just enough time to buy an authentic cowboy hat. Mar 2005 Jesse Goes to SOLAR Jesse In March, Jesse went to SOLAR, a LARP event and a chance to take his tabletop dungeons and dragons fun out into the Georgia woods. "Boffer" weapons are thin pvc pipe wrapped in foam, then gray duct tape. Spells are cast with small bean bags. Each character, just like at home, has strengths and weaknesses, but the game requires that you dress appropriately and run about. When you meet a stranger on the path, remember to ask "What do I see?" in case they reply "a 20 foot tall red skinned humanoid". And take their gold when you kill them. Jesse's first trip to a LARP: Live Action Role Play. His character is Dorian Drake, a templar. These 4 elves are Hayley, Matt, Josh, and Frank. They are  a sorceress, a fighter, a rogue, and a very mean fighter.  May 2005 Jesse Graduates Jesse His mom, so very proud of her son. His dad, bragging to anyone that will listen. The Devil-Rays kindly provided left field of the baseball stadium and trinitron scoreboard. Surprisingly, only about 400 graduates attended. Not surprisingly, about half of them were "honors" students, and "high honors" like Jesse. May 2005 Figment Passes Away All Figment had little to enjoy in the crowded condo, with no fresh air, very little sunshine, and crowded furniture. In the end, he was blind in one eye, and had stopped eating and drinking for 5 days. But he was not in pain.
