Amazingly, we took no pictures this Easter! We had only our 110
camera, and were still so young that we must have felt guilty about
taking an "unnecessary" picture. But who knows, we may
someday find a long-lost pack of photos.
This was the only Easter that we celebrated in our little house in
Lafayette, and really had fun making crazy eggs. We drew images from
popular culture then dyed them. We can easily recall the imges,
including a do-over from last years baseball and happy face, but also
a Denny's logo (where we often ate at 2am), a Del Monte logo (on a
green egg, of course) and a Chiquita blue sticker (on a yellow egg).
Lyn got out a pencils and worked tirelessly for 30 minutes, and when
the egg came out of the red dye, she had managed to make a Large
order of McDonalds French Fries. Dave's favorite was barely tinted
blue after he used the blue and red crayons to draw a Three
Muskateers bar. That was a fun year, and we laughed and enjoyed
ourselves immensely. Soon after next Easter, we would be back in
Michigan, and share our holiday hobby by redoing our favorite eggs
and showing them to our extended families. |
