Jesse was just over 18 months old, so this Christmas gave everybody
the fun of watching him open presents and understand the gift was the
item, and not the pretty paper.
Of course Christmas eve was at our house, so everybody could enjoy
the new baby. Lyn's whole family and Dave's parents were in
attendence to enjoy the holiday. Unfortunately, this was the period
of grand excess where the baby was literally buried in presents, only
to be topped in excess at each following holiday.
To our surprise, he was still pretrified of his visit to Santa and we
again have only pictures of him in tears.
Santa brought various toys for gross motor development (giant blocks,
nerf basketball hoop), but the best present was from Lyn's dad. He
insisted that his grandson have a giant panda teddy bear, literally
larger than Jesse this day. "Panda Bear"remained a tresured
toy and has traveled with us across the years. He still resides
on a shelf in Jesse's closet. |
