It was a huge disappointment that Dave was stuck out of town on the
actual Halloween night. Although at his young age, it didn't actually
matter to Jesse, it was still a huge disappoinment for us. Dave's
client was scheduled for a go-live on October 30th, and Dave had a
plane ticket home to arrive home in time to go door-to-door. The
project hit a snag, and was delayed one day, and he arrived home at
dinner time November 1st instead, having spent Halloween night bummed
and homesick in a Chinese restaurant in Oxford
Mississippi with a fellow project team member.
Lyn fixed all that by dressing Jesse up again the next evening. He
thought we had a new daily ritual and was let down the follwing day
when he didn't get tp dress up like Barney. Instead of leaving him at
her mother's Lyn brought him in costume to the airport and when Dave
walked off the plane he was greeted by his little two foot tall black
kitty. Needless to say, it was quite the talk of the gate area. When
Dave asked if he had a "trick" to get his treat, he
performed on cue what Lyn had taught him. He reached his little hand
up and squeezed his little bowtie to make the little kitty squeek.
Jesse got two Halloween's this year. |
