Family Photo Album Christmas 1989 Jesse was finally old enough this year that we could safely set up our real (full-size artificial) Christmas tree and set out the small ceramic tree on the piano. We had just returned from Disney World, but Lyn had put up all the decorations before we left. Santa brought Mr Toad video The play-doh fun factory was a big hit! Christmas eve was with Lyn's family and Dave's mom and dad joined us for Christmas morning with their grandson. This was a year for silly kid games with Hungry Hungry Hippos, Silly-Dilly, and Bongo-Congo. After some coffee, we settled down for a heated round of hippos (some assembly required). A rambunctious round of Hungry Hungry Hippos Lyn took some seasonal cashier work at Target Jesse was still unhappy about visiting Santa at Meijers This Christmas was interesting with two other memories. We thought we would try to have Lyn do some seasonal work as a cashier at the nearby Target. Since she was there almost everyday shopping anyway. Since Lyn worked on the day after Thanksgiving, Dave announced that he and Jesse would go to arch-rival Meijer's to get "free coffee and doughnuts". The boys also did some Christmas shopping and sat on Santa's lap. Jesse still found the whole Santa visit unsettling.
