We were still living in our "rental house" at Eastertime |

We made a new friend this year, Charles, a shy middle aged man Dave
met at work. We used our tradition of making silly Easter eggs to
have him over to meet us. While our methods and traditions were all
new to him, he easily adapted himself to our challenge, played along,
and ended up enjoying himself. His willingness and ability to
accept a different culture and then adapt himself to it was a rare
trait among Utah residents that we often missed.
Charles did not fit in and told hilarious stories about the antics he
caused during his LDS mission to Brazil. It was those rare traits
that attracted us to him initially, but caused us to grow apart eventually. |
