On Easter Sunday morning, we drove down to the "old neighborhood" to show Jesse the house where Dave was born (not a place where we would normally pull off the freeway). In forty plus years, Dave had aged much more gracefully than the house or the neighborhood, although the area was actually undergoing a bit of a renaissance and had actually seen worse times. Needless to say, many memories and stories poured forth that day. While in Detroit, Dave took us all to visit the gravesite of the original Henry Ford. He grew up attending Edsel Ford High School and Henry Ford Community College yet never ventured only three miles away to see the gravesite. In a small family plot are the graves of Henry and Clara Bryant Ford, the man that perfected the assembly line, invented the "Five Dollar Day" and, at one time, the world's richest man.   The house where Dave lived from birth until age 3.
