Includes maps of the expansion in chronological order, along with descriptions of each period. 29-Nov Finished Tangent Paper An dual biogrpahy on the two opposing generals of the Second Punic War, Hannibal Barca of Carthage and Scipio Africanus of Rome. 10-Jan Finished The 2002 home school special project is designed to be a lifetime experience and will develop significant personal knowledge about a subject while reinforcing the discipline and attention to detail that is required in the adult world. The special project will involve at least 4 deliverables on a single subject of Jesse's choice over a six month period. The first is a presentation of general information on the subject, intended for an intelligent person that possess no knowledge of the subject. The second will pursue some aspect of the subject in medium detail. The third is the major deliverable and should be impressive in scope, size, and detail. It should include original thinking and delivery. The fourth is a drill-down exercise, and should be selected after stage two is complete. It should expound or apply some aspect of the subject, while also going off in a new direction. Each portion of the project is due on the Friday of that week at 4 PM.
