Redding to Sacramento

Fish Hatchery outside Redding CAJust south of Redding was one of the many fish hatcheries across the whole area. We took about twenty minutes to review the presentations before pressing on.

From Redding, as a change of pace, we drove east to Chico (an interesting college town), then south to Sacramento. We followed that path just to see what was there, and it was of only minor interest.

We arrived into Sacramento from the northeast, driving through the new mega-suburbs of Lincoln and Rocklin.

Diamond Growers, Sacramento CA

We tooled around Sacramento, seeing the airport, the Diamond growers, the Capital area, the new baseball park (the RiverCats were out of town), and Folsom prison. For dinner we headed down to "Old Sacramento" but arrived just as it was closing. We drove out into the suburbs and had dinner at a sports pub, then headed back to the Courtyard by Marriott.
