Dave was scheduled for a one-day visit to Watertown, CT (a rediculous assignment) so he tried to make it into a family trip. We stumbled upon Hertz Florida "drive away" promotion. Since Easter had just ended, any one-way rental out of Florida would be $13/day with unlimited mileage. Dave arranged the longest possible distance, all the way to Portland, ME. Lyn and Jesse would accompany him as far as Washington, DC, then return so Jesse could go back to school. Dave would drive onto Watertown, then all the way to Portland and fly home to Florida.   This was an "accidental" trip, put together with less than three days planning. Day 6 Washington,DC to Salisbury, MD Our last full show was kind of a dud. Everybody raved about Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede", with many saying "If you only see one show . . .". It is a live show of horseback riders in a bullpen with bleacher style dinner seating. We're not big fans of horses and riders, and we had previously seen essentially the same show (albeit with Knights and Merlin) at the Las Vegas Excalibur casino. Much was made about not taking pictures (to not spook the horses), and we found the Blue vs Grey contest to be just as silly as the one in Vegas. If we had it to over again, we would skip this show.
